Ancient in Terminator Armor: D Tier: He gives +1 to hit for units under starting strength, which doesn't always matter as most Terminator units have Fury of the First (or the equivalent ability baked into another ability). +1 to wound is nice though, and if you're not shooting/fighting the Oath of Moment target it matters more. I personally don't think he's worth the points; I'd rather just invest in a Deathwing Command Squad intead.

Considering the incredible mental and physical strain of achieving such bewildering manoeuvres at maximum speeds, the fact that few Land Speeders are lost to pilot error can be solely attributed to the superhuman reactions, training and stamina of the Space Marines who crew them. Firestrike Servo-turrets: B Tier: Their guns are good, and firing Overwatch on 4's is pretty decent. Not sure they are worth the points, but probably worth a try in some lists. Deathwing Terminator Squad • Deathwing Knights • Bladeguard Veterans ( Deathwing Bladeguard Veteran Squad) • Company Veterans • Veteran Intercessors Tactical and Fixed objectives are catered for with the standard suite of small Lone Operatives and fast units that play your primary game. Scouts, Scout Snipers, Land Speeders (of any kind) and Inceptors will do just as fine a job jumping onto an objective to die, or Deploying Teleport Homers in the middle or your opponent’s deployment zone to keep a solid grasp on your secondary scoring options. How does Dark Angels deal damage? Storm Speeder Thunderstrike: A Tier: This vehicle has decent firepower vs. lighter vehicles, and its ability lets other units get +1 to wound something it shoots. This could be very key for taking down big targets like Knights.Though lightly armoured, Land Speeders are heavily armed and versatile, able to carry devastating anti-infantry or anti-tank firepower. The Land Speeder Tornado is more heavily armed still, equipped with an additional chin-mounted heavy weapon to bolster its role as a mobile firebase. The Land Speeder Typhoon is another common variant, mounting a formidable Missile Launcher battery in addition to its crew-manned heavy weapon to break up enemy troop and vehicle formations from a distance. Predator ( Annihilator • Destructor • Baal) • Land Raider ( Phobos • Crusader • Redeemer • Achilles • Prometheus • Terminus Ultra • Ares • Excelsior • Wrath of Mjalnar • Angel Infernus • Solemnus Aggressor • Anvilarum) • Vindicator Laser Destroyer • Repulsor • Repulsor Executioner • Gladiator • Astraeus With Dark Angels general prevalence towards anvil units and Lone Operatives, holding objectives is fairly trivial. Jam some Deathwing Knights or a Land Raider onto the ones closest to your opponent. Hold the sides with Scouts or Infiltrators with a Phobos Librarian. Do the same on your deployment objective, or put some artillery there like Desolation Marines or Whirlwinds/Thunderfire Cannons. Need to take an objective off your opponent? Inceptors are perfectly capable of doing so with their 3″ deep strike, or charge them with the a unit that will remove them with extreme prejudice. The Vengeance is rarely seen on the tabletop, so may provide a nasty surprise for an opponent that is not expecting it. This should allow you to get a turn or two of firing at prime enemy targets before it is taken out. Scout Sniper Squad: A Tier: One of the better character hunter units in the game, probably better point for point than even Eliminators.

Command Squad: D Tier: This unit is straight cabbage. They cost almost as much per model as Bladeguard, but just aren't as killy despite two of them having access to the good melee weapon options from the Astartes arsenal. The Apothecary resurrecting one every turn is cool until you realise the enemy can just easily wipe the unit before he gets a chance. The Land Speeders of those ancient and more technologically advanced times were also able to be armed with up to two Hunter-Killer Missile Launchers, each with a single Hunter-Killer Missile. Unlike many other Imperial vehicles, the Land Speeder has no upgrades or attachments that can be equipped. Astral Claws - The Astral Claws Space Marine Chapter, and later the Red Corsairs Renegade Warband made use of Land Speeders during the Badab War.Dark Angels are Space Marines, and they don’t fall far from the Index’s tree – you can see the Faction Focus for the Core Chapters here which covers the generic information for both Marines and Gladius Task Force. All other Loyalist Space Marine Legions - The Loyalist Space Marine Legions and their Successor Chapters, including the Blood Angels, Space Wolves, Imperial Fists, Ultramarines, and Salamanders, made use of the Land Speeder during the Great Crusade era, and most still do in the 41st Millennium. Dark Angels have a wide variety of tools available to them that live along side the core Index Space Marines, broadening an already diverse range with everything from Characters and Vehicles; to sidegrades of existing units and the wildly different Lion El’Jonson. If you looked at the Marines Index and said “where’s all the stuff?”, Dark Angels are for you.
