Description

Jason used to be a heavy smoker, drinker and junk food addict who also suffered from obesity, asthma, eczema, hay-fever and severe psoriasis. I read Allen Carr's The Easy Way to Stop Drinking first, and the author of this book appears to have taken what he wrote, and just updated it since Carr is now deceased. This work argues that there is no such thing as an 'alcoholic' and that we are conditioned to accept alcohol as a 'normal' substance in the society despite the fact that it is the major cause of many social problems and a wide range of health issues. With the tools that the book has taught me, I have changed that bit of mental software so I now realise it is me being sophisticated by not drinking. I also began drinking again after stopping briefly because I was scared of the changes that I might realise I needed to make if I stopped.

Fear they will no longer enjoy life; that their social life will be neutered; that they are forever depriving themselves of a precious treat. Lotta Dann was in trouble - her fun drinking habit had slowly morphed into an obsessive hunger for wine. As well as the NHS, there are charities and private drug and alcohol treatment organisations that can help you.

I didn't follow the instructions exactly because it advises you to keep drinking to the end of the book and I just stopped. If quitting drinking is akin to to 'leaving prison' and if you've left, 'it's instant freedom and no convict would ever desire to go back to prison one last time so as to enjoy their freedom,' as the author asserts, what's the rationale behind having a last drink?

Once that idea had gotten re-established all the social and cultural cues came into support it and the addictive properties began their slow, but inexorable, work.It also makes you question what is the point of drinking when it usually leads to such regrets ,lows etc. This is the root of the success and appeal - because the result is permanent (and not an ongoing struggle of willpower) and, as the title suggests, because it is easy. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. The strangest thing of all is that occasionally I have a dream that I've been drinking and when I wake up I feel disappointed in myself, until I realise it was only a dream. The only issues are what to drink when out (a lot of soft drinks are sickly) and that I find formal dinners where previously I would have drunk alcohol are very boring.

Biography: Jason Vale is a well-known health and addiction author who has sold over 5 million books, over 1 million apps and is the man behind the ground-breaking health documentary Super Juice Me! Jason Vale takes an honest and hard hitting look at people’s conceptions of our most widely consumed drug.

I have had numerous conversations with like-minded individuals, many of whom have recommended to me Jason Vale's book `Kick the Drink - Easily. I grew up in the UK in the 80s and 90s when alcohol consumption was normalised to the extent that you were seen as odd if you don’t drink to excess fairly regularly.

Vale's book shows condescension towards the main stream methods of the treatment of alcohol dependency. Obviously if I start earlier at the weekend, I might fit a few more beers in but still fall asleep maybe even earlier than this.
