Description

Tokyo Ghoul is completed and consists of 14 tankōbon volumes released between February 17, 2012 and October 17, 2014. [5] [6] Viz Media released the English version from June 16, 2015 to August 15, 2017. [7] [8] Tokyo Ghoul is also being translated into German and French, respectively by Kazé Manga [9] and Glénat. [10] If your diving into this beautiful series then just know that this is only the beginning of the story. We don't get any real answers for big questions here, and it leaves us on a hell of a cliffhanger. It all leads into the sequel; Tokyo Ghoul: Re, which I'm currently reading, and loving! The fight scenes are still pretty confusing... Which is annoying. It's also annoying that more often than not speech bubbles don't have any spoke indicating who they belong to, so I can't tell who's talking. These two points basically meaning: Reading this series is a very confusing experience. That being said, it is still a super fast read. I was expecting to take a lot longer to read it than I did. I also loved the amount of organizations this book had, and how some were pro inferiority, some were pro superiority and some were neutral, for humans and ghouls, because it all reflected the different opinions of humanity in the face of a great issue and I found it very enlightening. The character relationships were all also a delight, whether it was family, friends, lovers or enemies. I found the relationship part in this book very unique and honestly enjoyed it wholeheartedly. There were a lot of trigger warnings about death, torture, PTSD, cannibalism and abuse in this book but the portrayal in some of them was not too graphic so it's up to the reader and what they can handle. The aspects of the limits of science, curiosity and necessity were also explored and I truly loved the insight in these matters. i have no idea who these people are (always fun when I take several month break between volumes and don't understand shit)

In Ken's world there are people and beings called Ghouls. Ghouls walk, talk and act human but the main difference is that they are an obligate carnivore...and the only meat they can consume is human. Unbeknownst to Ken, he has several of his internal organs replaced with those of a Ghoul...which makes him half-Ghoul. But, as usual, it was bat shit crazy and full of surprises. I believe the next one will be even better. forse sono io che non ho fatto attenzione ai particolari (troppo distratta dalla rinascita di Kaneki) ma Ishida li ha disseminati fin dall'inizio ... un vero genio! A book of illustrations of Tokyo Ghoul wallpaper. It contains, among other things, the Tokyo Ghoul tankōbon cover art.Elsewhere, Shuu, Banjo and Uta take on Noro and discover that he can heal himself once his head has been removed!!

My favorite character: Kaneki Ken. Shy, bookworm, kind, considerate, brave, lonely, tragic hero. The best part of this story was the difficulties Kaneki went through and him slowly being crazy and sometimes cruel. The best character change I have seen. Tldr: I liked the series, but it definitely has its flaws. Will I end up reading Tokyo Ghoul:re? Maybe just to get some answers to the questions I was left with. Fair warning, the anime is very different from the manga, so don't go in expecting quite the same experience.

The portrayal of the canonically LBGTQIA+ characters is not great. The two characters that I can think of off the top of my head are portrayed as very predatory. It's not great when your only LGBTQIA+ characters are all bad guys. It was a long time ago when I started reading Tokyo Ghoul, but since then, I lived an experience of multiple emotions, and lost myself into a world that was like a dice, with so many different sides and possibilities. There are frequently spoilers in the character bios in the beginning of each volume. I got spoiled for the identity of the Big Bad in the beginning of a volume before the reveal actually happened in the story. Not a deal-breaker for me, but something to look out for if you are sensitive to spoilers.

I met so many great characters, with layers upon layers of personality and complexions, unique in writing and so well spun that I couldn't comprehend even after I sat for a long time to think about them. I found myself in a crazy but careful world building, where ghouls, the monsters of this story, didn't just exist, but also were fully explained anatomically, had their own organized society and rules. I watched the anime and loved the first season, although the second took a bit of a dip and ended in a very anti climactic way. Glad to say that the manga plays out a lot more satisfying than that. The biggest difference being that Kaneki doesn't go to the bad side like in the anime, something that never really felt believable. e due pesti da ragazzini) dove si apprende che Mado e Shinohara hanno ucciso il loro padre , che s'intreccia con il presente, con l'attenzione focalizzata sull'armatura Quinque creata dal Kagune di un Kakuja (il Collezionista di Cadaveri ed era un cannibale) che usano Shinohara e Kuroiwa , e l'ultima pagina con l'immagine dell'anello ...Parasyte, Shingeki no Kyojin Kaneki has no choice but to adapt to the ways of the ghouls if he wants to survive, all while keeping his identity a secret and trying to live a normal human life. Thus begins a tragic horror story where a psychologically tortured boy is constantly exposed to the worst aspects of human nature and the savagery of ghoul society. Is Kaneki the first ever outcast that doesn’t belong to human or ghoul society, or is he the first and only person that has the potential to bring the two clashing societies together? Kaneki begins to realize that there’s more to the incident with Rize and the surgery that changed him forever, and he slowly unravels the secrets of the nastiest ghouls and the most corrupt humans working in mysterious ways behind the scenes. After a while, you’ll begin to question who the real monsters are. Chapter 152 → ◙ I love how Tsukiyama pulled some strings and showered the CCG with metal detectors. No, scusate so che non siete sordi ma io non posso aspettare. Adesso mi metto ad urlare come Ken nei capitoli iniziali di questi volume. Una delle migliori serie che sto leggendo.

Overall I enjoyed this series a lot, with some small-ish gripes. I thought going into the series that it was more aimed to a younger audience, and although it kinda is... It gets pretty effin' dark at points, even for my horror fan sensibilities. Fine by me! Just not eat-over-breakfast material. I took a small break in binging through the box set after the whole "Jason" torture bit... I wasn't crazy about the ending, it felt very odd for what we had learned about many of the characters up to that point. This is a review of the entire 14 volumes of Tokyo Ghoul (NOT including Tokyo Ghoul:re), so I'll be reviewing the series as a whole and not each volume individually. Tokyo Ghoul:re, the sequel to Tokyo Ghoul, was serialised in Weekly Young Jump from October 16, 2014 to July 5, 2018, and has been released from December 2014 to July 2018 in 16 tankōbon volumes. [11] [12] Viz released the first English volume on October 17, 2017. [13] Tokyo Ghoul [ edit ] No.

Too many unanswered questions. This is not a good ending. Not a bittersweet one. It was a cliffhanger! Tooru Mutsuki with all my former love, just die already. His arc is an epitome "you either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain" Cuatro estrellas porque la portada es Hide, acá suelta la frase de que ama al Kaneki, y hay que reconocer todo lo que ha hecho a lo largo de la serie: desde ponerle rastreadores a Jason, hacerla de becario en la CCG para tener acceso a la información hasta ofrecer su vida para que Kaneki no muriera. No cualquiera, la verdad. Eto Yoshimura (aka Ten Takatsuki) being the ONE-EYED OWL. I mean WTF?! Where did this come from?! I know in the previous volume it was mentioned that the one-eyed owl might be related to Mr. Yoshimura buuuut...did we ever find out that he had a daughter? And why her? I mean...it could have been ANYBODY. I just wasn't expecting that...
