Unlike other JS scents, this one really camouflages a lot of the notes so that I cannot so easily distinguish every individual note. SUN eau de toilette has transported me to that summer, and delivers the nostalgic, *sunny* feeling of whatever fancy Bain de Soleil I obsessed over.

As it dried down, though, I kept getting whiffs of something slightly off-putting, a bit metallic, and a little disturbing, but that I couldn't put my finger on. Sun gets us in a romantic mood way faster than any other fragrance I own (and I own over a 100 frags).And I will admit, Sun isn't exactly fresh, however the florals are just bright enough to make the scent feel warm like sunshine, rather than a crackling bonfire.

On a day to day basis, I do tend to reach for more inexpensive scents that I don’t mind throwing in my bag and using liberally. It's fruity and sweet, but not in a way a random celebrity fragrance would smell, for example (and by that I don't want to imply all celebrity perfumes smell like that or that it's bad to smell like that, it's just what occurred to me at first as an example of a typical, fresh, fruity-sweet smell). In the opening, this is Jil Sander Simply sprayed on hair and clothes while putting sunscreen on your skin. Actually, SUN reminds me strongly of traditional orange blossoms like Oranger en Fleur, with a touch of Monoi oil added.Not the sun tan lotion, just the warm sweetness of your skin on a day when you've been out in the sun.
