This is a used book - there is no escaping the fact it has been read by someone else and it will show signs of wear and previous use. Penguin presents the audiobook edition of You Were Gone by Tim Weaver, read by Joe Coen, Rachel Bavidge and Tom Burke. Not his best book IMO A good plot with an unexpected twist at the end, but too full of graphic descriptions of gratuitous violence for my liking - I found it uncomfortable reading.

His fourth novel, Never Coming Back, was selected for the Richard and Judy Book Club, and his work has been nominated for a National Book Award. Even now having finished the story I'm really not sure what it was all about and what actually happened. Joe Schreiber was born in Michigan but spent his formative years in Alaska, Wyoming and northern California.

I have read and enjoyed a few books from this series so I decided to get the first one to see David Raker's back story. Tim Weaver certainly has a style of writing that keeps you reading, at the expense of wanting to do anything else.

But I also know him from "Red Harvest," which is one of the worst Star Wars novels I have ever read. Chasing the Dead is the first book in the extremely popular David Raker series which was published in 2010 and the latest book (10) No One Home is being published in May 2019.
