The relationship between Annie and Will is sort of a slow burn, without the 'burn' part, but there is also an instant attraction between them, which we are very aware of every time they talk or just see each other. I missed a more gradual progression and the excitement of 'will they, won't they'. I mean, obviously they will, since this a romance, but Annie's "I only want to get married" and Will's "I never want a relationship" didn't carry any weight here. Sarah writes books that truly make me smile. They're kind and hopeful, playful and feel-good. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT was all of that in spades.' CHLOE LIESE Another annoyance besides the fact that Annie just irritated and frustrated the living stoof out of me is that she would have dialogue that came OUT OF NOWHERE. It was like the author had mapped out these “scenes” and would just jump to them like a squirrel who got distracted by too many nuts. And you're just like, where did this come from? What are we talking about? Who, what, where, how? ALLL THE RELATIVE PRONOUNS! This book managed to get me out a reading slump. YAY! If you just want a generic romcom that is just something fluffy and light to read, (something that's not too deep). This is your go to book! BECAUSE IF YOU LOOK DEEP YOU WON’T FIND MUCH! i’m so tired of that narrative looping around me day in and day out. i’m tired of everyone so neatly placing me in a box and tying a silk ribbon around it and then telling me to sit and stay.”

Will is a sweetheart and he is great with Annie, but it was Annie who made this story for me. She can come off as juvenile sometimes, but there are a lot of little things I liked about her character. She surprised me many times, when she said or did something I didn't expect, and she can be really funny. in any case, this was simply delightful—from the MCs swoony friendship to their adorable romance. 🥰 i normally wouldnt go for this relationship tutoring scenario cause it tends to have the MCs being oblivious to their own true feelings or acting stubborn and in denial. it also usually has unwanted OM/W drama. however, my wariness was unfounded because the MCs communicate and the “OM” element isnt problematic. 🙌 i LOVE the fact that this doesnt have that “glow up/make over” scene like theres smth wrong with the h. the sibling conflict upset me, but i appreciated Annies moment of character development. all in all, this book was a gift i didnt know i wanted. i feel like it was specially written for me. ♥

The names Annie came up with for Will’s full name — this had me dying and when he took pictures of her during the moments when she wasn’t looking bc he thought she deserved pretty pictures of herself and to collect them all for her to have ugh it was so cute
