way through. I like this. I find myself doubting a lot, and hating myself and my white education for doubting. It makes me angry that we just destroyed something so wonderful. Why do we always destroy what we envy, or do not understand. When I was a child, I used to say to my mom, "The boys at school call me a sissy and are mean to me." She always said, "Ignore them, they're jealous." I am so grateful for our great Afrikan historians who found the truth, thoroughly uncovered and recorded it, thus giving myself and others a deeply profound point of view. This is a #1 read. Finishing this book brought me peace. I am inspired! I will read Chancellor Williams companion to this: The Rebirth of Afrikan Civilization as well.

It was very hard to listen to this overly eager white man read this book like he was giving an unpracticed book report. Really distracts from the hugely important and historic substance of this book.
