Description

This time it’s Andy’s wife Laurie who asks him to assist in a murder case, one that is fourteen years old. With his trademark humor and larger-than-life characters - including a police officer and his K-9 partner, Simon - Rosenfelt never fails to deliver as Andy and his eccentric crew dash to reunite a family in time for Christmas.

Turning off the personalised advertising setting won’t stop you from seeing Etsy ads, but it may make the ads you see less relevant or more repetitive. Their epic cross-country move with 25 of these dogs, culminating in the creation of the Tara Foundation, is chronicled in Dogtripping .They involve difficult and dangerous investigations by Andy, his wife, and friends and conclude with courtroom drama. Plus, this time there are two new dogs - Andy represents one dog in court, and then later represents the owner of the titular dachshund in a murder conviction.

Once again Andy failed at retirement when his wife Laurie asked him to take on two cases without pay it's the right thing to do as Christmas is approaching. There is enough backstory written into the plot that it works well as a standalone volume for new readers. The cause of death was strangulation, and in addition to the killer’s leaving behind his DNA in the skin under Kristen’s nails, the same DNA was found on a piece of discarded gum and a half-consumed beer can near the body. Dachshund Through The Snow: This collection captures the nostalgic feeling of winter wonderland, filled with whimsical dachshunds, cosy mittens, and joyous Christmas trees. It may not be reproduced in any way whatsoever without the prior consent of Waitrose Limited nor without due acknowledgement. Andy’s relationship with each and every one of them is my favorite part of the series, and reading Rosenfelt's books is as comfortable as slippers and hot chocolate. This beautifully illustrated ‘Dachshund Through the Snow' festive mug made from fine bone china produced by Royal Worcester would make a lovely gift or perfect addition to your kitchen.

Thank you to Joseph Brosnan at Minotaur Books and David Rosenfelt for an arc in exchange for an honest review. Andy’s humor and the overall tone make this a light read, but beneath the surface we’re given much to consider.

But alas, poor Andy keeps getting pulled into helping people out of the “pickles” they presently find themselves in. There are interludes of Andy at home with his family and friends, yet they avoid the over-sentimentality such interaction can bring about. But after Carpenter takes the sase there are some strange underworld murders and it seems as if somehow they are all related to this murder trial. Andy Carpenter is at it again — annoying lots of people, delaying retirement to reluctantly defend an accused murderer, and having his life saved several times over by people (and a dog) far braver than him. While these aren’t serious books, they’re always well constructed and designed to keep you guessing.
