Slayer, the founders of thrash metal founded in 1981, released the album CHRIST ILLUSION on June 6, 2006 and are representatives of everything that has to do with rejection of the church and absurd stories of the Holocaust human experiments during the Second World War as well as conspiracies and criticisms of political systems which often put the band in a bad light, but they didn’t let that get to them. Musically, the high-pitched, fast and slightly uncoordinated solos of Kerry King, as well as Tom Araya's voice, which orients itself between chanting and neglected screams, have cemented them at the top of their genre and beyond. Their successful album REIGN IN BLOOD (1986) with hits like ‘Angel Of Death’ and ‘Raining Blood’ are naturally cult favourites, along with the well-known "SLAAAYER!" scream. However, even outside the metal world, the Californians, who including the likes of Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax are counted as being amongst the founding members of the "Big Four". The band have also suffered some fatalities throughout their career, such as the death of Jeff Hannemann, who co-founded the band with Kerry King and died in 2013 from alcohol-related cirrhosis.
