The H20 mask was ultimately disliked by audiences, due in no small part to the fact that four masks were used in production: the Buechler mask, the KNB mask, the Stan Winston mask, and the CGI mask. The CGI Mask appears in the scene where Charlie encounters Michael, which could not be reshot with the Stan Winston mask. It is widely regarded as the worst mask of the entire series. At Horrifiq, we pride ourselves on providing products crafted from the most spine-chillingly superior materials. Each of our petrifying masks is designed with skin-friendly, nightmarish care to ensure a comfortable and ghastly experience for both little ghouls and grown-up monsters alike. Employing the eerie embrace of natural latex, our masks ensure your haunting is delightfully devilish and free from ghastly odors. The production crew removed the eyebrows and sideburns, the face was painted flat white, the hair was teased out, and the eyes were opened up and reshaped with scissors. This info can be found in the Halloween: The Inside Story. They tested out the Capt. Kirk mask and the crew decided that it was much more creepy because it was emotionless, much like Michael himself. This became the Michael Myers mask. Since then, every mask used in the films have been modeled after this design. William Shatner admitted that for years he had no idea his likeness was used for this film. It was only during an interview that someone mentioned his mask was being used. He has since stated that he is honored by this gesture.

The romantic ideal of the Michael Myers mask, the original works so well mainly because the director of the film, John Carpenter, is so adept at knowing where shadows are supposed to be. The cheekbones provide a little underline in dark close-ups so it doesn’t look like Myers is wearing a mayonnaise container on his head, and very rarely do you see Michael’s actual eyes, lending him that inhuman quality of “The Shape.” Combine that with the slight tussle in his hair and you have a grade-A maniac mask, one that totally alienates the audience from any sort of human connection or empathy. Halloween II (1981): The Dye Job Image: Universal Pictures The Resurrection mask is often regarded as one of the best sequel masks along with Curse, save for some criticism that its sharply defined features resemble makeup. Michael awakens from a ten-year coma covered in gauze bandages from Ridgemont Federal Sanitarium. As soon as he reaches Haddonfield, Illinois, he goes to Vincent Drug Store where he steals another "Shape" mask. We are thrilled to present the official Michael Myers 1978 face mask, a perfect replica of the iconic mask worn by the famous movie serial killer. With its white and expressionless appearance, the Halloween Michael Myers mask has been one of the most popular Halloween masks since the release of the original Halloween 1978 movie.Michael obtains the mask as just one of many items stolen from Nichol's Hardware Store the night of his escape from Smith's Grove Sanitarium. The mask was later destroyed in the fire at Haddonfield Memorial Hospital. Originally, the prop department had to locate the perfect mask for Michael Myers. Without putting too much thought into it, they chose a Captain Kirk mask based on actor William Shatner and painted it white. Interestingly, the mask had actually been made from a cast of William Shatner’s face that was used in another horror film – The Devil’s Rain from 1975. As such, it seems that Shatner’s face was always destined to become an iconic piece of the horror genre. However, not all of the masks are built equally. As the Halloween series progressed, various redesigns would cause a Rise and Fall and Rise of sorts, and if you’re the kind of person who deeply cares (the right kind of person) you’ll notice each one gives Michael a distinctly different vibe. Halloween (1978): The Classic Image: Compass International Pictures

At the end of the film, after Michael is burned, he is shown still wearing the charred remains of the mask. The Halloween franchise is perhaps best remembered for its most recurring villain – The Shape, aka Michael Myers. The character is normally portrayed as the epitome of evil, and one of the best ways of getting that concept across to the audience is with his iconic mask. As fans of the franchise likely already know, Michael Myers first dons the iconic white mask in the original 1978 Halloween. Once he appeared on screen in his proper full attire, a cinematic icon was born. But where exactly did the mask come from? In the quest for the most bone-chillingly brilliant Halloween treasures, put your faith in the spectral hands of Horrifiq. Our ghastly designers concoct creations with ease of use in mind, ensuring your petrifying pleasure. Our terrifying masks permit effortless breathing and vision, all while maintaining their sinister, life-like appearance. During the school scene when Michael throws Loomis through the glass door, the mask is pink with blond hair. Director Dwight H. Little later speculated that an exhausted crew member accidentally grabbed a non-altered mask for the scene, and there was not enough time or money for a reshoot.

For 40 years, his mask was kept as archival evidence, eventually making its way to an attorney general's office until the day it came into the hands of journalist Aaron Korey, who, along with his colleague, Dana Haines, was making a podcast about Michael Myers. Upon Michael's escape from custody while en route to a new facility, he managed to meet up with Korey at a gas station, where he retrieved the mask he had not worn in four decades, and went on his second murder spree. For all horror fans, there’s no denying that the perfect Halloween appearance as Michael Myers is the ultimate choice. Unleash your inner horror fanatic with our Halloween Michael Myers mask! This official Michael mask and costume will make you the center of attention at any Halloween party. The Stan Winston mask is the one seen for the majority of the film, replacing the KNB mask. Though praised for looking more similar to the original, it was still mostly panned since Michael's eyes are plainly visible, and for the hair appearing frizzy.

Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers features a mask that once again appears different from the previous two films, but it is allegedly the same one that was still intact at the end of Halloween 5.

Halloween H20 is a direct sequel to Halloween II (1981) in which the original mask was destroyed in the fire at Haddonfield Memorial Hospital. The film does not explain how Michael obtained a new mask, but it is assumed that he stole it from another store. In reinventing Michael Myers during the horror remake arms race of the mid-aughts, director Rob Zombie layers his Myers mask with dirt and blemishes. It’s the result of having been left under some floorboards for 15 years, and it doesn’t look so bad — at the very least, it appears to be the product of an actual artist and not a frantic dash to a Spirit Halloween. We get to see a close replica of the original, too, in the film’s first act — a brief nod to fans of the series before Zombie goes and does whatever he wants with it. Halloween II (2009): The Beard Image: Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Michael Myers first acquired the white mask in 1978's Halloween after he escaped from Smith's Grove Sanitarium. He stole a few items from the local hardware store including a Halloween mask. This white mask became the face of the franchise. Michael wore a version of the original mask for all installments of the franchise, except for Halloween III: Season of the Witch, which didn't feature the crazed killer. Minor adjustments to the mask were made as time went on but the pale, humorless visage was always the main goal. This Michael mask and costume includes everything you need to become one of the most brutal murderers this Halloween. Get ready for a genuine horror look with our official Michael Myers workwear, and of course, this frightening mask.
