Most notably the speed button changes the speed of the drone from its default Normal mode to Speed mode to the slowest Camera mode which ensures you don’t get the propellers in your footage, and should result in smoother motion.

This works pretty well but I’d also like a way to execute it from the app when you forget how to set it up. I have large hands, so I enjoyed this feature, although I think it would've made some sense to integrate the smartphone clamp in this area (between the two arms). It shoots at 4K30 FPS if you’re using an SD card (128GB maximum) or 720p if you’d like to save footage directly to your phone. The Ruko F11 GIM2 is well over the magical 249-gram limit (it weights 584 grams) that allows you to fly a drone with only an Operator ID in the UK, which somehow limits its appeal among beginner pilots who might not feel like studying for the Flyer ID test just so they try Ruko's drone. If you tap on this once it shows the drones location on a map and if you tap it again it shows a full screen view of the map with the live view shrunk down to the corner. It’s still useful for looking more closely at a feature in a landscape whilst you’re flying but it does get pretty blurry quickly. There’s also a 5x digital zoom but this only applies to your live feed – not your phone or SD card recordings. the 4K camera has a 2-Axis gimbal stabilization, and also carrying the Electric Image Stabilization technology inside, so pictures are taken stably at 4K; Videos records at 4K/30fps; the zoom function help provides more detail.

Note: The FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) requires registration for this drone to fly in the US. The GPS mode would be useful if you wanted to record yourself mountain biking or running for example.

It would also be awesome if there were a smaller resolution mode with a higher frame rate (50/60 fps). By default, it actually starts in a Beginner Mode which limits your flight distance and altitude to 30 square meters.It’s farther than you can see and, in the United States, are actually allowed to fly since it’s impossible to see it at that distance. You need an operator ID to fly any camera drone in the UK which isn’t classed as a toy which includes the DJI Mini 2. With a pass through Adobe Premiere Pro’s Warp Stabilizer, you would never guess it came from a mid-level drone like this.

the drone came with two batteries each can provide a 28minis flight time, the battery is intellgent and safe, its power status is monitored and reported in real time. It supports a maximum card storage capacity of 128GB, although the card is not included in the package. So I can’t confirm whether it can achieve even close to its maximum range under our local flight restrictions in the UK, where the drone has to be visible at all times.But there are a growing number of options that are bringing drone flight to the masses without the usual drawbacks: poor battery life, poor camera quality, limited safety features, and poor reliability and repairability.
