Description

The Castles of Burgundy is a game for two to four players. During the game, players will be rolling dice to obtain tiles to place on their board, building their estate. There are elements of both set collection and worker placement (with the dice used as workers in this game). Set Up Each knowledge tile has a different effect. Some of these are immediate effects, which then remain in place for the rest of the game. Some effects only impact on game end scoring. Building (beige): Whenever a player adds a building tile to his estate (which can occur up to 12 times), then he immediately gets to make a single use of that building's advantage. Ship (blue): Whenever a player adds a ship tile to his estate (which can occur up to 6 times), then two things happen immediately: In addition, depending on which phase the region completed in, players will earn bonus points. A region completed in phase A will get 10 bonus points, whereas a region completed in phase E will get 2 bonus points.

Continue if you are looking for games like Castles of Burgundy and are curious about what similar games to play next. It is about players taking settlement tiles from the game board and placing them into their princedom which is represented by the player board. Every tile has a function that starts when the tile is placed in the princedom. The princedom itself consists of several regions, each of which demands its own type of settlement tile. When a player adds a city hall to his estate, he may immediately add a second six-sided tile of his choice to his estate from one of his three storage spaces, regardless of colour (and including all of its effects).

Player Boards - In general you always want to start on every board near small areas, especially near mines and ship areas. Church – the player may take a grey mine, yellow knowledge or dark green castle tile from any numbered depot and add it to their supply;Another yellow tile (#6) is different: in addition to let you buy tiles in numbered depots, it lets you buy tiles (anywhere) with two silverlings OR TWO WORKERS. Buildings - Generally these are all good, you should use them to get the other stuff you want. If you are going to get a ship, for example, you might as well get a Market tile to get that ship that way you fill out the board. I myself like Carpenters Workshops( get you another building), City Halls( allow you to place anything) and Boarding Houses ( for previously said reasons) but it also depends on knowledge tiles you have or plan to get. The watchtowers ( 4 points) should be gotten later in the game since they don't speed up putting tiles on the board. Silverling, to be placed in the appropriate storage space in the upper left hand corner of his board, visible to all other players
