I am a jazz piano player that likes to play video games. Since I've played piano from a young age, I grew into abnormally large hands.

Assigning Mouse Buttons with iCUE – Corsair Assigning Mouse Buttons with iCUE – Corsair

The M65 Pro is constructed from a tough aluminium chassis. Each surface is covered with a layer of plastic, with the top section coated in a soft-touch material that feels great against your fingers. The sides adopt a more textured finish for increased grip, but it does have a slightly loose feel to it. I’m a fan of Corsair’s approach here, but all surfaces appear to be a magnet for finger oils, and long gaming sessions can build up a fair amount of moisture. We’re not leaders of industry however one of the ways factories keep costs low is by buying one particular brand of switches and circuits and use those units throughout the entire product. Corsair gaming products were known for using cherry switches in their mechanical keyboards. So why not remain consistent in quality for their mice? Why not keep it the same brand using five or even six switches making even the middle button amazing? I would state that the difficulty is this repair is moderate. You will remove very small cables similar to cellular phone repair. You must also have knowledge of how to use a soldering iron. DISCLAIMERS:

Eight strategically placed buttons

Corsair’s iCue is an essential part of the M65 Ultra Wireless. It goes far beyond buttons and lighting, allowing you to access to unique features like gestures and critical settings like when the mouse goes to sleep. Our take Adjustments to the M65’s performance can be made here, with the ability to create profiles that can be saved onto the mouse, or shared as digital files. Key adjustments include changing the DPI settings, button remapping, and calibrating against the mousemat surface. Should I buy the Corsair M65 Pro RGB? To additionally push this rodent I tested it by playing high-paced FPS games. Whipping out Battlefield V and PUBG I was blown away by its insanely high control speed. I faced no irregularities, spin-outs, or any glitches. Polling rate is at 1000Hz/500Hz/250Hz/125Hz, respectively. I can see no input lag with this sensor. Balance and Weight There are a couple versions out still or there are sometimes, and it's hard to tell the difference between them. As far as I can tell, the left side is the giveaway. The bad one has metal showing (silver aluminum looking) with cutouts usually plus a weird texture scroll wheel (ones with just horizontal lines are good) and the good ones have the side piece full extended from the sniper button. I think this applies to all versions wireless, pro, elite, expensive etc. This one is the good one, and you can tell immediately in person by the quality feel. (still not as quality as the OG one but close) IDK what corsair got going on

Corsair Gaming M65 PRO RGB FPS Gaming Mouse Backlit - OcUK

fully customisable buttons, including an ergonomically placed sniper button for immediate DPI reduction Advertised as the FPS mouse to compete on the international scene, it is just perfectly normal for the manufacturer to have approached weight as a very important overall aspect. The M65 Elite weighs 97G which is lighter than its predecessor and will be kinder to your wrist in extended gaming sessions. With that said, no gamer is created equal and to each their own. So, if you belong to the heavy-mouse camp then you will be happy to know they have included three 6-gram weights, giving the mouse an overall mass of 115G. Speaking of the weights, there are three of them, and they’re not quite as easy to remove as other tunable gaming mice. Where you’d usually be able to just pop out the weights on other mice, there are three large covers you have to unscrew and remove to access the weights. At this point you should be able to flip the cover of your Corsair M65 mouse about halfway off with only two cables still connecting it to the bottom. The USB interface cable and one of the RGB LED cables. Remove both of those and you can then clean/set your upper case aside. Once we’re in and after we remove the cables and screws we now have some left-right mouse buttons that we can salvage! The company “ZIP” cannot be found but the switches at least feel good and we did plug this mouse in prior to make sure that there are no cold connections going on. One thing to note is if you are trying to repair your middle mouse button switch it might be harder to salvage. In the picture above the middle-button switch has the dimensions which are more appropriate to repair a Corsair Naga series mouse which needs a 6mm X 6mm X 7mm design. With the key-caps wearing out about a year and a half of ownership, I’m pretty much tired of Corsair’s shit at this level and am now willing on cutting my losses with this company altogether.

M65 PRO RGB FPS Gaming Mouse — White (EU) - CORSAIR

Put through its paces in gaming scenarios, the mouse proves it’s worth, with fast-paced games proving no threat to the M65 Pro. Play the third-person MOBA Paragon, and camera movement is smooth, with the Sniper button allowing for an unprecedented level of precision. The same can be said for Battlefield 1: running with the Assault class allows for an unexpected level of control, and those who prefer long-range combat will be able to line up headshots with ease.

High-capacity Omron switches

Before I give my final words on this rodent, let us re-visit the mouse that inspired this new tech. Like the newest version of M65m it also has an aluminum frame that renders a lightweight body and outstanding sturdiness. I noticed that the remaining two buttons are lighter. It’s indeed a treat to use a mouse with such fabulous side buttons. Using your plastic pry tool on the rear of the mouse you can separate the plastics on one side and move along to the other side to un-clip the latch. No not pry from the front of the mouse! that is now you break the plastics which your mouse buttons hinge upon! Once the latch is undone the mouse should begin to separate easily for you. Don’t use force to separate the mouse as you could rip the cables from the top of the mouse to the bottom. If you are experiencing issues with your computer mouse, you can try resetting the mouse to resolve the issue. Elsewhere the supplied cable is braided, but sadly non-removable. On the underside of the device are three removable weights for fine-tuning the balance, and of course the optical sensor itself. Rated at a maximum 12,000dpi, the sensor is suitable for monitors of all resolutions, with complete customisability available in software.
