Description

One of the best things about this blaster is its ability to be customized. It comes with a detachable scope, barrel, and 3 tactical rails, allowing you to create different blaster styles for any situation. This is perfect for players who want to switch up their strategy and take advantage of different situations. Featured in our list of best Nerf guns, this blaster comes highly recommended, but is it right for you? Elite 2.0 was first leaked online in early 2020, with imageless listings for most of its products popping up on numerous online retail stores. Starting in June, images of the blasters gradually began to surface. The Commander has a noticeably comfortable priming handle that is easy to hold and makes for a smooth slide.

Elite 2.0, as its name suggests, is a spiritual successor to the 2012 N-Strike Elite series. Its blasters feature a similar design to those seen in later releases of N-Strike Elite, with the exception that the blasters are now teal and orange in color, rather than blue and orange. Most blasters include double their intended firing capacity worth of darts. Internals? It’s Elite 2.0, and I didn’t want to rip the blaster apart to the point where it’s unusable. It’s safe to assume, though, that the internals are similar to the Strongarm/Disruptor, but with the cost savings of plastic leaf springs and the like. Conclusion While firing the blaster at a normal angle, I measured an average range of 45-55 feet. When firing angled upwards, I got an average of 65-75 feet. The farthest dart went to 85 feet, which is still below the advertised 90. Reliability and Durability 8.5/10The Nerf Elite 2.0 Commander RD-6 was released in 2020, and makes for a great addition to any Nerf arsenal. As far as durability goes, there is nothing that feels super flimsy on it. The only thing I worry about breaking is the slide, but mine has held up just fine. The Flipshots sub-series features blasters that have a "flipping" mechanic that allows the user to switch between two sets of barrels of darts. The Motoblitz is also a fully-fledged semi-automatic blaster. Load the included 10-dart clip, hold down the priming button under the trigger to activate the motor, and you’re ready to go! The combination of semi-auto firing and Airblitz technology makes this blaster truly fearsome. The number code system for Elite 2.0 closely resembles that of the Alpha Strike series, rather than N-Strike's system.

WARNING: Do not aim at eyes or face. Use of eyewear recommended for players and people within range. Use only official Nerf darts. Other darts may not meet safety standards. Do not modify darts or blaster. The cons of the extra design are that it is a bit big for a pistol, making it too large to holster or conceal. Without attachments, it is also too small to be a primary. That being said, the Commander is comfortable to hold and use. Ammo and Loading: 7.8/10 Initial reception to Elite 2.0 was very mixed. While the inclusion of additional darts, an abundance of accessory attachment points, and the overall ergonomics of Elite 2.0 blasters have been praised, the changes to how the blasters are assembled have been highly criticized. Many of the first Elite 2.0 blasters were assembled in a way that makes modification and repairs difficult. While blasters are still held together by standard screws and/or pressure clips, as introduced in the Alpha Strike line of blasters, many others are also ultrasonically or solvent-welded together. The quality of the plastic used in production has also been called "thin", compared to previous or other releases, and some parts such as jam doors can be easily snapped off. Additionally, many of the metal springs in blasters have been replaced with plastic leaf springs, which are less strong and can break after long periods of time. The Commander serves as the replacement for the Strongarm/Disruptor, and while other blasters can get better performance for less money – a Nerf fan who buys one probably won’t be disappointed.

Let’s start by looking at the main features of the Elite 2.0 Commander and then both the good and bad of each one. When we first saw the NERF Elite 2.0 Flipshots Flip-32, it blew our minds (not literally, we’re okay). It feels like Hasbro threw the rulebook out the window when conceiving the Flipshots sub-series of Elite 2.0.

The bottom line is that it is a very affordable blaster with some great upgrade options. Otherwise, it is average in most categories. My Commander has seen some use and only will give you trouble when using bent or highly worn darts. Alpha Strike • Assembler Gear • DinoSquad • Doomlands 2169 • DragonPower • Elite 2.0 • Elite Jr. • GlowStrike • Hyper • Laser Ops • Mech Strike • Mega • Mega XL • Nerf LMTD • Nerf Pro • Nerf Sports • Nitro • N-Strike • N-Strike Elite • N-Strike Modulus • Power Moves • RIVAL • ULTRA • Vortex • Web Shots • Zombie StrikeThe Commander includes twelve darts that have a bit of a different color design than the standard. Six are teal with orange tips, and the other six are orange with teal tips. This isn’t a huge deal, but using the different varieties can help your find your specific Nerf darts once the smoke of a battle clears.
