If you’ve ever wanted to brew with Zombies in Commander, I’ve got good news — this precon is a really great way to get started. Our first of two money cards in Undead Unleashed is Curse of the Restless Dead, a card unique to this set. For only three mana even your land drops will generate zombie tokens for you. You can also enchant your opponent if you think they’ll be making more land drops than you, although they may hold their lands in hand if you do so. I don’t think this card is game breaking on its own but it can do some serious damage paired with the right sacrifice outlet. Moonlight Greatsword - hit an enemy in melee to then shoot a damaging wave of celestial light. It's obtained by upgrading a Netherite Sword, but this recipe is just a placeholder for now. It's a reference weapon that appears in a vast majority of FromSoftware's games. This lets all players mill three cards at the start of each upkeep, one of which can be removed from play, after which the Kin becomes a copy of that card. Enchantments Lost Soul - a materialised spirit of a mob. Mainly used as a crafting material for soul related stuff without the need to go to the Nether! Also serves as ammo for the Tome of Reflection.

There aren’t any new cards in the set that have Affinity, nor are Artifacts a very prominent theme on Innistrad. However, The Celestus is a handy artifact if you want to throw it in. What to Take Out Though it tries to flesh out two main ideas, one being “Zombie Tribal” and another being “ Sacrifice Matters/ Aristocrats”, both are supported by the Decayed tokens since they’ve become cheap fodder for the endless hum of the machine. The second commander option is the newly released Eloise, Nephalia Sleuth, a human rogue for 3BlBk. Graveyard Hate. Bojuka Bog is great, but even better are the Zombie support cards that incidentally GY hate like Cemetery Reaper and Stitcher Geralf. On top of cutting out a couple of lands, you will probably want to upgrade to whatever dual lands you can. I recommend the ones that can enter the battlefield untapped, if at all possible. Here are a bunch of those: Undead Augur , Gleaming Overseer , Hordewing Skaab , Eternal Skylord , Undead Alchemist , and Rooftop Storm all grant beneficial static abilities to Zombie creatures. Rooftop Storm is usually insane in Zombie tribal, but it underperforms a bit in this precon. The only sort-of boardwipe card that can be seen is Aetherspouts, which does not destroy creatures but puts them on the library of their controller. With the millability of other cards like Dread Summons or Gisa and Geralf, a strong combo can be created to destroy creatures indirectly. Once many creatures have landed in the graveyards, Ghouls’ Night Out helps to bend them to your will. Artifacts If your opponents are playing a lot of mass removal spells, you can use Rise of the Dread Marn as an insurance. Once you foretell it, it costs just one mana, which can be easy to hold up during your opponents’ turns. Demon Horn - a horn of a Flamebreather, gathered by slaying one. Used for crafting Bone Meal or a Trident, will get more uses in the future.

Buzz Lightyear) Zombies, Zombies Everywhere (Buzz Lightyear) Zombies, Zombies Everywhere (Buzz Lightyear) Zombies, Zombies Everywhere creature cards seem very generous at first, in terms of sacrificing and killing your own non-token creatures, this amount seems tight at some points, but this is compensated by the many tokens. The enchantments mainly help us generate these tokens. The only card of significant value in Coven Counters is Bastion Protector, a reprint from Commander 2015. This Commander-specific card provides an extra layer of protection for your leader and curves out really nicely with Leinore, Autumn Sovereign since you can play the Protector on turn 3 and your commander on turn 4. The Verdict This is the end of the Grave Danger Upgrade Guide. Let me know in the comments if there are some amazing cards that I missed. There are so many Magic cards, that I most certainly should talk about some others as well, but I didn’t want this article to get too long and too overwhelming.Pricey stuff: Sidisi, Undead Vizier, Relentless Dead, Lord of the Undead, The Scarab God, Mikaeus, the Unhallowed, Phyrexian Altar, Yawgmoth's Will, Vampiric Tutor, Demonic Tutor, Intuition, Cyclonic Rift, Tombstone Stairwell, dual lands, fetches, you know the stuff Because this combo is so strong we're going to add both Acererak and tutors to assemble our combo more consistently. We also need a little more removal, so adding some removal pieces that support our Zombie synergies is a good way forward. Noxious Ghoul has no right to be as good as it is, and we should absolutely be playing it. In the next section you’ll find budget upgrades, so cards that are good, yet fairly cheap. Afterwards, we’ll throw our budget through the window, and explore more expensive cards. removal; Fleshbag Marauder, Ravenous Rotbelly, Ruthless Deathfang, Butcher of Malakir, Eater of Hope, Overseer of the Damned, Dark Salvation, Syphon Flesh, Feed the Swarm, Go for the Throat

Ghouls just want to have fun I guess. It’s an ice fun card, potentially pretty good but also potentially kind of meh, the most likely piece you’d get would be utility creatures, but even though, 5 to get 3 zombie ETBs for 5 mana that are also somehow other useful creatures is pretty good. This is a really awesome card. It’s sadly too expensive, but it’s really fun. It works really with zombies’ general sort of abilities. Zombies tend to have on death triggers, enter battlefield triggers, and triggers related to how many zombies you have. You can use Cleaver Skaab’s ability to create a death trigger and two ETB triggers, or you can choose a creature with triggers to double those triggers up. There’s a lot of just great synergies with this card, and in slower, more sedately paced games it’s a really fun card. At 2/4 it really a nice big butt, to stay alive through virtually all mass damage spells that aren’t pure X spells. It’s also an instant speed spell so you can use it to create triggers on other players turns or use it in response to a targeted removal spell to still get value out of creature or maintain a creature. graveyard recursion; Gisa and Geralf, Prowling Geistcatcher, Tomb Tyrant, Gravespawn Sovereign, Gorex, the Tombshell, Liliana, Death's Majesty, Hour of Eternity, Ghouls' Night Out, Zombie Apocalypse When considering what to remove, I’ve opted to reduce our curve where possible. As much as some of the X spells and sorceries are attractive options, they don’t really help with our overall strategy, which is now to draw into our combo or swarm with deathtouch tokens. The last two additional cards are both mythic: Avacyn's Memorial and Lynde, Cheerful Tormentor. [6] Cardlists [ | ] Coven Counters [ | ] “A nice fluff is offered by Zombie Apocalypse, which can provide us with a large number of zombies in the late game that are already in the graveyard. Coven Counters is all about one of Midnight Hunt’s new set mechanics: coven. Cards with coven grant you a bonus ability if you control three or more creatures with different powers. With this in mind you’ll want to run as many creatures as possible to maximize your chances of having coven active at any given time.
