By hour 3 the patchouli and moss are also noticeable, which adds a "green" and (pleasantly) "dirty" note. The Roman Night is a lovely perfume with beautifully blended unusual combination of notes like that of mulberry, pepper and night blossoming jasmine where the end result is perfect. It will fit special or even romantic occasion where woman might want to wear dress, perhaps in black, eggplant purple or white color. Sadly in the climate region where I live (extremely humid and hot Mumbai) that wonderful scent goes to waste completely due to it's super low sillage and longevity.

I was shocked because when I first tried it last year I was in love with it, but the sample made me think otherwise. The mini has a different design (the neck is all "gold" instead of the thin gold lines) and the name of the fragrance is not on the bottle. I tried both The Roman Night and The RN Absolute in Douglas and could not detect the difference straight away (you know, Douglas is full of smells, with people spraying from the testers all around), so I ended up purchasing the Absolute version and taking home the sample of The Roman Night. I might give it another chance in the autumn and winter since there are elements in this I really like, but for springtime this is just too much. It's faded quite a bit within an hour, and I have to get my nose right up on my arm to smell what's left of the fragrance. Performance is quieter and closer to the skin compared to Elizabeth Taylor’s White Diamonds Night, which is a similar fruit/night jasmine combination but that’s the understated Morillas blendedness.
