This book really hooked me on I love it so much! :) Through a series of peculiar and magical happenings, James finds himself on an adventure inside a giant peach with a bunch of friendly giant insects for travelling companions. Matilda Birthday Card, Personalised Card, Card for Daughter, Card for Granddaughter, Card for Wife, Card for Sister #SF21 You could also try this Roald Dahl Day Flipbook , which would work well for a full class topic on the author. I can't help but feel that every teen who likes dark academia secretly has a copy of this book moldering somewhere in their bookcase. MATILDA is like the OG dark academia book, and so many things about it shaped tropes I still love today: shy and bookish heroines who are quietly brave; evil schools; strong female friendships; and off the wall crazysauce. It's a scathing criticism of the cruelty of English schools, but it's also a story of female empowerment.

it was one amazing book and Matilda is like Mozart since Mozart could compose music when he was five years old and Matilda taught herself to read when she was three. Audible relisten I️ just cannot get enough of this story. It’s whimsy and love of books keeps me entertained while I️ clean. Quentin Blake has been bringing stories and poems to life for decades - and his instantly recognisable illustrations are still making children smile today. Matilda is not yet five years old, and already she is a very unusual child. Teaching herself to read, she works her way through all the books in the children's library and then gets started on the adult section, to the amazement of the librarian. Her narrow minded parents don't notice that they have a genius in their midst - but is soon becomes clear that underestimating Matilda is a big mistake. Matilda is a great book for 9-11 year olds. You don't have any idea what might happen at the end. This book was exciting and kept me entertained from cover to cover. She is a lover of books, and can read stories meant for adults by the age of four. Her clear intelligence goes unnoticed by her uncaring family, who often treat her badly. Her parents even refuse to let her go to school despite her wishes, and she is kept from attending at first. She and I may be the annoying person if we happen to be real. Me in this fiction and her as me in real I mean ☺️ Matilda is a 1988 children's novel by British author Roald Dahl. It was published by Jonathan Cape. The story features Matilda Wormwood, a precocious child with an uncaring mother and father, and her time in school run by the tyrannical headmistress Miss Trunchbull. Want to dress up like Veruca Salt? Don’t forget the pet squirrel! How about Augustus Gloop? Well, you’ll need lots of candy bars!

Miss Trunchbull later confronts a girl called Amanda Thripp for wearing pigtails (the headmistress repeatedly displays a dislike of long hair throughout the book) and does a hammer throw with the girl over the playground fence. A boy called Bruce Bogtrotter is later caught by the cook stealing a piece of Miss Trunchbull's cake; the headmistress makes him attempt to eat an 18-inch (46cm) wide cake in front of the assembly, then smashes the platter over his head in rage after he unexpectedly succeeds. Thats all the summary i want to go into because if you have not read the book then i am not going to ruin more for you...... Lets just say *Spoiler...... Ms. Trunchpull was run out of town thanks to Matilda and everything was like new after Ms. Honey adopted her.* Wait okay i did ruin more of the book for you but i did not tell you about the newt or why Ms. Honey takes in the little girl so it is still worth a read. Family family register made of wood Family book for marriage certificate, birth certificate, etc. Wedding Wooden cover Family book MatildaMatilda's family taught me, that there will be people in your life who may not approve of you. They may not like how you behave, they may not like that element about you that makes you you. And that's ok. Improving yourself for the better is one thing, but these characters taught me that you do not have to change yourself to please others. You do not have to change who you are. You can still be you. This book was a huge part of my life. If it wasn't for Matilda, my life would have been very different now. I might have still learned these lessons, but in a different way. This is a book I treasure with all my heart, and I am so thankful to Roald Dahl for writing it.

I cannot properly review this book, but I have read it so many times in the past. It was my comfort read in a way. I'm just going to gush instead. Matilda has a humour and cleverness that many children will love. Because of its themes of bullying and mistreatment, it’s recommended that adults first make sure that their children are comfortable with darker themes. Mrs. Honey taught me that everyone goes through their own struggles in life. You don't know what the other person is facing, but you can be their strength. You can show them kindness and gratitude, and you can let them know they are loved. His first children's book was The Gremlins, about mischievous little creatures that were part of RAF folklore. The book was commissioned by Walt Disney for a film that was never made, and published in 1943. Dahl went on to create some of the best-loved children's stories of the 20th century, such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda and James and the Giant Peach. Matilda Wormwood is a gifted girl with unpleasant parents. From a young age she can speak like an adult. Since her parents don’t pay much attention to her, Matilda teaches herself to read. Before she has even been to elementary school, she has already read many books in the local library. She spends her afternoons at the library where a friendly librarian helps Matilda choose classic novels. Matilda’s parents think she should read less and watch more television.Use this fun, creative colouring activity to accompany your lessons on Matildas by Roald Dahl. A wonderful story about the importance of reading, your class will love colouring in characters such as Matilda, Ms. Trunchbull and Mr. Wormwood. Colouring is a creative exercise which helps to improve children's fine motor skills, and their finished pieces could also be used in a wonderful classroom display. I liked Matilda it was very funny! I think other people would like it and inspire more people to read it!
