The character is played by Filoni, who serves as an executive producer, writer and director on The Mandalorian. He will also executive produce the upcoming spinoffs Ahsoka and The Book of Boba Fett, and is confirmed to be a writer on the former and a director on the latter. Filoni directed the 2008 animated feature film Star Wars: The Clone Wars, later serving as a writer and as supervising director on the follow-up animated series of the same name. Filoni has also executive produced Star Wars Rebels, Star Wars Forces of Destiny, Star Wars Resistance and the ongoing Star Wars: The Bad Batch.
