In a large mug (350 mL / 12.5 oz capacity or larger), stir together flour, brown sugar and cocoa powder until well combined. Add milk and oil and stir until well combined. Can I use gluten-free flour? Yes, that is not a problem! Use the same baking powder and salt measurements above. This mug cakes takes about five minutes to make from start to finish, combining just peanut butter, flour and eggs – incredibly simple, fluffy little cakes that the kids will love to get involved with making. You could also try cashew or almond butter instead of peanut, or even a chocolate hazelnut spread. These fluffy, moist little microwaved puds combine ground almonds and chunky marmalade with cream, olive oil and eggs. Top with a sharp orange syrup and finish with cream. Delicious! Large mug (or two!) for the sponge: We like to use two of our extra-large mugs. The mug will only end up being half full of sponge, but it does need room to rise while it’s in the microwave. This also limits spillage and time spent cleaning the microwave.

If you're feeling extra-cheeky, you may even add some texture to your pudding by sprinkling some grounded nuts or chocolate chips on top. As I mentioned, we use quite large mugs to give the pudding room to rise in the microwave, and we like a flatter sort of pudding, but most general coffee mugs should work. What you could do instead is a chocolate brownie in a mug. It won't be as airy and light but you will get your chocolate fix. Don't worry. I know what its like! LOL Here's an example of a recipe. I told myself I wasn't going to read this post because once I did, I knew I would have to make it and then it would never stop. Damn you Anne, you evil temptress! 😛 The microwave times are based on our 800W microwave at full power. First time in the microwave is the longest, at 1 minute 15 seconds, the second is 30 secs and the last is just 20 secs.Cook in microwave for 30 seconds. (Mixture should be combined and cooked. If undissolved cocoa exists, zap for an extra 10 seconds.) I was just wondering whether there would be a variation of some sort using plain flour and without baking powder. I tried making this with just plain flour but using the same measurements it did not turn out very well!! Thanks. P.s. I'm a poor uni student who is desperate for some chocolate!! Haha
