While it’s true, this one has a very bleak looking color palette, think of it this way…it’s Earthy looking, natural and every bit intentional as to how this is accurately supposed to display, at least from what I know.

For items that are dispatched using our standard service, we ask that you wait 14 days from the date of dispatch before reporting any items as undelivered. And the colour scheme is varied, but oftentimes boasts bright and vibrant colours, despite the fact that it largely favours a more golden/bronze-biased twinge. What’s more, color is more vibrant and nuanced, and there’s greater fine detail that reveals itself especially in the unique textures of Krypton. I think he did a fine job here too and flexed as much emotion and intensity as he could, but I also feel like he did not have a lot to work with here too in regards to the somewhat weak screenplay. Man of Steel‘s Ultra HD slipcover and rear cover art promises nearly 4 hours of extras including “Journey of Discovery: Creating Man of Steel” and “Planet Krypton.By using this service you thereby indemnify this Company, its employees, agents and affiliates against any loss or damage, in whatever manner, howsoever caused. It has reference video, audio and even “potentially” some lengthy killer special features to boast about on the included Blu-ray (I believe there should be 2). Just examine the background and costume detail in the scene in which Jor-El is confronting the Kryptonian Elders. The LFE channel is strong, prominent and robust in all aspects from complementing the rousing score to crashing bodies through glass windows and buildings. One aspect in the Superman mythos not often enough explored for mainstream audiences is the character's desire to know more of his origins and the dilemma over his foreignness.

Color Reproduction: Here’s where things get a bit sidetracked because if you read the forum boards, you will see a lot of fanboys talking about the colors being de-saturated here with the HDR presentation. The Blu-ray contains the film in 1080p, as well as the same extras as before, including 3 featurettes ( Strong Characters, Legendary Roles, All-Out Action, and Krypton Decoded), the great Superman 75th Anniversary Animated Short, and the cross-promotional New Zealand: Home of Middle-Earth piece for The Hobbit. Grain does not make this a bad presentation, but there are a few scenes like the tornado one for example where I can see snobs questioning that this is what 4K looks like? I never thought it was plausible or even possible after becoming so attached to those initial trailers, but I felt so emotionally detached, distant and deprived of any emotions here.Man of Steel was shot principally on photochemical film in 35mm format, and then greatly enhanced digitally and finished to a 2K Digital Intermediate.

Release date does not indicate dispatch date, as many of our items are sent via a forwarding company from each country.Height (Dolby Atmos): The Dolby Atmos element of this surround track really “elevates” your viewing experience, no pun intended, to the next level with many complements such as Zimmer’s incredible score bleeding in and shooting upwards, aerial battles on Krypton, planes flying by, doors on alien ship and Superman’s many flights just to name a select few. Despite the varying filming styles – the otherworldly opening gambit; the faux-gritty introduction to Clark, and the world-shaking conclusion – the presentation itself never falters, merely adapting to the varying colour timing. Part of the problem of bringing Superman to the big screen, especially in light of Richard Donner’s classic 1978 take, is that while the character’s signature idealism and “big blue boy scout” rectitude are arguably as relevant now as ever, they’re also much harder to sell in our more cynical times. Goyer, 'Man of Steel' surprises with its thoughtful reimagining of Superman's origins and the personal challenges he faces in his journey to becoming the iconic hero he's known for being. I’m sure we’ll see an eventual double dip or repackage with other DC universe titles in the future with Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman on the horizon, but for now I’m really happy with what we have here.

It reminds me to how phenomenal the HDR grading of Mad Max: Fury Road looks in the night time scenes. Filling the screen and the room with the music of Hans Zimmer, a remarkably detailed and sharply extensive mid-range displays each note and individual instrument within the orchestration while nicely bleeding into the front heights for a welcoming half-dome effect. For all of its sound and fury, though, there’s a core strength, humanity, and honesty here that is undeniable. However, the way it all went down really wasn’t an iconic moment like the film’s trailers made it look and I didn’t get to see him discover his newfound powers innocently enough like we do in all the other superhero origin films.AQUAMAN AND THE LOST KINGDOM The DC Super Hero’s Action-Packed Adventure Debuts on 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD on March 12th! And here at last is a version of Lois Lane who’s intelligent and trustworthy, who looks before she leaps and who Superman can actually rely on.
