One cannot help but be somewhat challenged by Rose's treatment in this book of visual methodologies, and in the context where we are increasingly being overwhelmed by a visual culture that allows considerable openness to how we interpret what we see, we must question whether or not we are run the risk of foregoing truth at the expense of accepting how different people interpret the same image differently.
