They were a gift from a particularly unpleasant individual to his fiancée a few days after she had jilted him. When she held them up to her eyes and adjusted the focus, two nails shot out and blinded her. At his trial the accused was asked by prosecuting counsel why he’d done such an evil thing, and he simply replied, “I didn’t want her to look at another man ever again.”’ I have read many of your books and each one has made my best reads of the year which I send with my Christmas letter to family and friends. The book tells the testimonies of guys born worlds apart. They don’t have anything in common besides the same date of birth and an eagerness to reach life. William Lowell Kane is a rich and effective elite magnificence, whilst Abel Rosnovski is a pole who was born in a scenario of wonderful poverty and finally migrated to the United States.

I look forward to seeing you again, Chief Inspector, and to meeting your wife when I open the Frans Hals exhibition,’ said the Princess as she stepped into the lift. ‘That should at least prove a jollier occasion.’ Thank you, Sir Peter,’ she replied as they shook hands. ‘It was kind of you to agree to my unusual request.’

The storyline features The Royalty Protection Command, who are entrusted with the safety of the Royal family, and they’re really going to have their work cut out in ‘Next in Line’, to protect one of their royals in particular. Jeffrey Archer, also known as Jeffrey Howard Archer, Baron Archer of Weston – super – Mare was born on April 15 th, 1940, in Holloway in City of London Maternity Hospital, London, England. His family moved to Somerset two weeks after birth, settling in the seaside town of Weston-super-Mare.

London 1988, and the nation has fallen under the spell of ‘the peoples princess’ HRH Diana, Princess of Wales! Most students could not understand how he was able to have houses and cars to his name yet he only worked part-time jobs as a fundraiser for the charity organization, Oxfam. This season saw him meet his future wife, Mary Weeden, who happened to be a chemistry student in the Oxford college of St Anne’s. They later on had two sons both of whom became politicians. After graduating from College, he continued his fundraising work this time for a medical charity known as The National Birthday Trust. Great stories have in them an essence of being timeless. They capture the important moments of life vividly and immortalize them. Such are the stories that take the reader through time-travel into the past or the future. The reader is able to re-live the story in his mind simply because a book has captured the life out of the story. Books like these could only be written by a sterling author. Jeffrey Archer is one such author manifesting literary greatness in himself. Being such a celebrated author, he has come to woo readers with his flair for writing novels and short stories. Biography of Jeffrey Archer This is another wonderful and engrossing book from Jeffrey Archer, which I loved. I whizzed through it, as it was fast paced and full of action, which kept me excited and eager to read on. There were a couple of uncomfortable moments for me (but then I got over myself...) when the story wove around characters who were real people and members of the British Royal Family, with one behaving very indiscreetly! It’s 1988 and Britain is in the middle of their love affair with Diana, the People’s Princess. While many in the Royal Family prefer to keep a low profile, Diana attracts the flashbulb like none before her. This nothing new, but something is on the horizon, lowing the tabloids to feast on all the crumbs tossed their way.

Princess Diana has a soft spot for a so called playboy who Ross gets the measure of and cannot hide his distaste for him, he vocalises his concerns and nothing is done as a suspicion is not evidence. When Ross’s fears are realised not even he could have predicted the scale of what is taking place, will he be powerless to do anything?… You’re one step ahead of me, ma’am,’ said William, moving on to the next cabinet. ‘Ruth Ellis, a nightclub hostess, was hanged on the thirteenth of July, 1955, after she shot her lover with a Smith and Wesson .38 revolver, which you can see here.’

Intertwined with this is the story of Miles Faulkner, William's arch nemesis, and his fallout with his crook of a counsel Booth Watson. You also see Christina and Beth make peace, sort of. James Buchanan makes a cameo too. An outrider from the Special Escort Group swept into Scotland Yard, closely followed by a green Jaguar and an unmarked Land Rover, while two police motorcycles brought up the rear, completing the royal convoy. They all came to a halt as Big Ben chimed eleven thirty. London, 1988. Royal fever sweeps the nation as Britain falls in love with the 'people's princess', Princess Diana. Which means for Scotland Yard, the focus is on the elite Royalty Protection Command, and its commanding officer. Entrusted with protecting the most famous family on earth, they quite simply have to be the best. A weak link could spell disaster. London, 1988. I enjoy this series and I like tge way Archer has extended it into new characters, rather than just the feud with Watson and Faulkner. My thanks to HarperCollins and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review an early copy of Next in Line. William turned bright red, while his number two, Inspector Ross Hogan, stifled a laugh, causing Artemisia to burst into tears. The Princess leant down again, took the little girl in her arms and said, ‘Because I’m not a Queen, Artemisia, just a Princess.’ His 2nd in command Di Ross Hogan is charged with looking after none other than Princess Diana Aka ‘The People’s Princess’. Ross is not like any Di he is ex military. There's lots going on with all his family and colleagues and of course Miles Faulkner. His books are so good and so well written and researched, you feel they could be true. A fantastic series. I’ve been captivated by a number of Archer’s books and can’t wait to read more in the Clifton Cronicals. At some point, he rebelled against some of his own party’s policies such as when he championed for free television licenses for the elderly citizens and when he was against the practice of imposing museum charges. Thanks to his political downsides, he later served time at Belmarsh and Wayland prisons. Series of books by Jeffrey Archer Any issues with the book list you are seeing?
